Russia-Ukraine War: The Kremlin says Putin has denied that Russian troops are bombing Ukrainian cities, dismissing such information as "fake."
Own report: Russian President Vladimir Putin has a discussion with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. In those talks, he denied bombing Ukrainian cities. He has denied that such information is fake. The Kremlin made the announcement on Friday.

The Kremlin said in a statement that Putin said "reports of airstrikes in Kyiv and other major cities are false propaganda." He added that talks on Ukraine would be possible only if Russia's demands were met.
The Kremlin said Putin had "confirmed that Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine, as well as those who want peace in Ukraine. But there are conditions that Russia's demands must be met."
These conditions include Ukraine's neutral and non-nuclear position, its "denizification", recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, and "sovereignty" of the separatist territories of eastern Ukraine.
The Kremlin added that "it was hoped that in the planned third round of talks, Kiev's representatives would take a reasonable and constructive position."
The next meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations is expected to take place over the weekend, according to a Kiev negotiator.
